“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I’m Possible” — Audrey Hepburn

Oh the Tween years…..

Let’s face it, they are awkward (as they should be!) Your tween girls are discovering the world in a new way, exploring new passions, figuring out what it means to be a good friend, all while juggling the crazy changes going on in their minds and bodies.

It can be a really strange and tough time — so what they need is a chance to embrace the weird and wonderful, and truly be seen for who they are right now.

I’m Possible is a two-part tween empowerment event hosted by Connie Bensen | Photographer and benefiting Each Green Corner.

sunday, the 28th of April, 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Academy of American Dance in Redwood City

This event is open to tween/teen girls aged 9-14

Our hope is to help your child identify their passions and put those big dreams into photographic art!

Here are just a few of the individual passions your tween might have: theatre, art, cooking, baking, karate, gardening, dance, film, design, sports, (any hidden talent you care about!)

There are two parts to every story

each green corner — Feeding the community one garden at a time

Each Green Corner aims to create sustainable and culturally-diverse food gardens to combat food insecurity in our community. Established in 2018, Each Green Corner scaled rapidly from a single pilot site to 15+ food-producing gardens. They help schools, residents, and communities to address food insecurity, climate change, and public health. Each Green Corner educates the community in growing sustainable, permaculture-inspired and culturally-diverse food gardens.

Sandie envisioned a future where individuals share resources to build strong, healthy, sustainable communities. Where young and old are empowered to address food insecurity, climate change, and public health. Where a few spare dollars, spare minutes, spare hands, or a spare corner of your yard has the power – collectively – to fill a belly, heal our earth, and build our sense of community. Inspired to make this vision a reality, Sandie established Each Green Corner, an all-volunteer non-profit organization that tackles the design, installation, maintenance, and harvesting of sustainable gardens for the benefit of our hungry neighbors, our health, our climate, and our communities.

In 2021, Each Green Corner donated 5,022 lbs of produce (equal to 4,173 meals) to those in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. Each Green Corner’s continued success depends on the contributions made by our generous donors, volunteers, and an enthusiastic team of interns.
